The family of an 11-year-old lady who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the shooting.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law known as me and she or he was simply crying, like 'I think it just hit Miah. I feel everything came to actuality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of the two teachers killed. Her buddies and classmates were also focused.

Rivera mentioned that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah bought some blood and put it on herself so she could fake she was dead," mentioned Rivera. "It's too much for me to play that scene time and again, but that is what my sister-in-law stated is that she noticed her friend full of blood and she received blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother stated she had bullet fragments in her back," mentioned Rivera.

Rivera, a mother of three, said the family is rallying round Miah to assist her recuperate physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this level, we just have to pray and ask God to help us transfer ahead by way of this case, I know it is traumatizing as it is," mentioned Rivera.
