The family of an 11-year-old woman who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed in the course of the shooting.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and she or he was just crying, like 'I believe it just hit Miah. I believe everything got here to reality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of many two lecturers killed. Her buddies and classmates had been additionally focused.

Rivera said that is when Miah went into survival mode.
