Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to attempt to sell damaged automobile with lacking tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the authorized alcohol restrict after at least five people referred to as 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Principal Road exit. They are saying the crash triggered a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver saved going.

Other callers say the driving force was all over the highway and now missing a entrance tire.

They are saying he ultimately stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Staff informed police the driver, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and virtually fell several occasions. Officers say he tested .291 on a transportable breath test.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is going through several prices.

He's the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
