Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of companies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm together with several other agencies in an try to seek out him.
The teen was discovered near the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
