Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of companies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College around 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world along with a number of different companies in an try to find him.
The teenager was discovered near the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old may very well be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
