Two juveniles were injured Monday after crashing a stolen automobile right into a concrete safety barrier close to the White House, the U.S. Secret Service mentioned.
A Secret Service spokesperson tells News4 that officers tried to tug over the automobile about 6:30 p.m., however the driver took off.
The automobile slammed right into a concrete barrier and a phone pole at 17th Road and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, officers stated.
Video reveals a silver sedan partly crumpled in the front throughout the street from a Secret Service guard post, plus a concrete barrier pushed into the road.
There were two juveniles within the car. Each were taken to a hospital and are now in stable condition, officers said. We don't know their precise ages.
They’re expected to face fees.
D.C. police are investigating.
