The family of an 11-year-old girl who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed in the course of the capturing.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law known as me and he or she was simply crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I think every part came to reality now,'" mentioned Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of the two academics killed. Her pals and classmates were also targeted.

Rivera mentioned that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she might faux she was dead," stated Rivera. "It is too much for me to play that scene time and again, but that is what my sister-in-law said is that she saw her friend filled with blood and he or she acquired blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother mentioned she had bullet fragments in her again," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, mentioned the family is rallying around Miah to assist her get better physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this point, we just have to wish and ask God to help us transfer forward by this situation, I do know it's traumatizing as it's," stated Rivera.

Almost everyone in the city of Uvalde has been touched by the loss of someone in the mass capturing at Robb Elementary College, residents are supporting one another as they begin coping with the tragedy.
